Does Matching the Harness and Leash Actually Matter?
Not because they need to be the same colour — although we do appreciate a good matching walk set.
The more important part is the connection between them.
Your leash clip attaches directly to the D-ring on the harness, so those two pieces of hardware are taking the load together whenever your dog pulls, suddenly changes direction or reaches the end of the leash.
That's why it's worth paying attention to the clip, D-ring and overall construction rather than choosing each piece purely by appearance.

This becomes particularly relevant with a no-pull harness.
If you're using a front attachment point to help redirect your dog when they pull, the leash is part of that setup too. A very long or overly stretchy leash can feel quite different from a shorter, more controlled lead.
None of this means you can't mix brands. You definitely can.

You have more than one dog.
